Paul Simon Meets the Roots: “Late in the Evening”

We dig pretty much everything about this spirited version of “Late in the Evening,” from Paul Simon’s recent appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, where he jammed with house band The Roots: the animated bounce of tuba player Tuba Gooding Jr., the dual guitar noodlings of Simon and Roots guitar player “Captain” Kirk Douglas, and the happy horn section on loan from Brooklyn afro-beatsmiths Antibalas.

Now how about an Art Garfunkel/OutKast collabo? Nas and James Taylor? Stranger things have happened….
