McCartney took to Instagram this morning to post a carousel of two photos: one of himself and Starr sitting and laughing together at a Stella McCartney fashion show, and the other of McCartney’s late father Jim McCartney. Ringo Starr and Jim McCartney share a birthday, albeit in very different years.
“Happy birthday to Ringo and to my Dad!” said McCartney. “Hope Sir Richard Starkey has a fabulous day.”
Ringo Starr’s real name is Richard Starkey, and he was knighted at Buckingham Palace in 2018.
Are Ringo Starr And Paul McCartney Still Friends?
Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney are the only two living Beatles, and it looks like they still have a very friendly relationship. Starr appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2021 and said that he is just as close to McCartney as he was when they first became friends, and that they regularly FaceTime each other.

It’s a lovely thing to see, as many bandmate relationships tend to deteriorate years after the band in question has broken up. It’s good that McCartney and Starr are still bros after all these years!
Paul McCartney is planning to extend his Got Back Tour this year from October through December. While there has been quite a bit of speculation that McCartney will release new music this year, nothing has been confirmed in terms of an album or single.
Ringo Starr is preparing to tour with his All Starr Band this September. He is also allegedly working on a new album in the country genre. Just because you’re 84 doesn’t mean you have to slow down!
