Patty Griffin will release her 10th album Servant Of Love on September 25.
Servant of Love is both folk music and folktale, pulling also from the transcendental tradition of Emerson and Whitman. On this album Griffin reportedly works in duality themes, human movements and the symmetry and patterns of the natural world that we don’t fully understand but keep encountering (the album’s cover evokes a sunflower’s seed spirals).
Griffin also announced the first leg of her North American tour (the second leg, mostly western states, is forthcoming). Here’s what’s been confirmed so far:
