*NSYNC Transports Fans to a “Better Place” with Comeback Single

After weeks of rumors and a surprise reunion at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, *NSYNC has released their first new single in 23 years. The beloved boy band rekindled the upbeat pop sound of their 1990s and early 2000s hits in “Better Place,” which dropped today (September 29).

“Better Place” was recorded for the soundtrack of the upcoming animated film Trolls Band Together, which arrives in theaters on November 17. The movie soundtrack, set for release on October 20, includes “Better Place,” along with two more versions of the track, which feature vocals from Troye SivanCamila Cabello, and Kid Cudi

Co-produced by Justin Timberlake and Mike Elizondo, “Better Place” is a lighthearted, joyful pop track that spotlights the band’s perfectly meshed harmonies. It’s likely that the track was meant as a fun, one-off project specifically recorded for Trolls Band Together, but the overwhelming response from eager fans has sparked even more rumors about the future of *NSYNC.

Although neither Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, or Joey Fatone have confirmed plans to move forward as a group, they haven’t directly denied them, either. As fans await details of what could be in store for the record-breaking pop act, the members of *NSYNC are sharing messages of thanks on this long-awaited release day.

“This song is truly a love letter to all of our fans who have been our incredible support system,” Bass shares in a post to his Instagram account. “To my brothers Joey, Justin, Chris, and JC – there’s a unique magic that happens when we come together, and I wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else. This song is a testament to our bond, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey we’ve shared and the one that lies ahead.”
