English-teacher-turned-songwriter Nora Jane Struthers stopped by the American Songwriter office to play her tune “The South,” a dreamy, folky reflection on the meaning of “home”, with her 1961 Martin 000-18. Struthers’ album Wake dropped earlier this week, which we described as an “immediately comforting” Kathleen Edwards-esque suite of tracks “full of lovely surprises and knockout moments.”
