On November 29, Columbia Records will release the DVD Adele: Live At The Royal Albert Hall. The DVD will be bundled with a CD of the 90-minute performance, which featured covers of Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and The Steeldrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been For Love.” 26 cities around the world will host cinema premieres – Visist Adele.tv to find out where you can watch the film.
Awhile back, we heard rumblings about a must-see band from Alabama that were putting on live shows to rival the soul blowouts of old. That band was The Alabama Shakes. American Songwriter recently sponsored their gig at Callaghan’s Irish Social Club (view photos here). The band has now signed to Rough Trade Records, who will put out their music in the UK and Europe. Pre-order their EP here , or download it from their bandcamp page.
Paste is currently streaming The 30th Annual John Lennon Tribute Live from the Beacon Theatre NYC, which features artists like Jackson Browne, Patti Smith, and Alejandro Escovedo covering the songs of the late Beatle. The album hits stores Nov. 15. Proceeds from the sale of the album will go to the Japanese Red Cross, to aid in its’ ongoing Earthquake and Tsunami Relief efforts.
