Check out this video of Wilco recording Nick Lowe’s tongue-in-cheek “I Love My Label” in their Chicago Loft. The song appears as the B-Side to the debut single “I Might” from Wilco’s new album, The Whole Love, due September 27 on the band’s own dBpm Records.
The song first surfaced on a 1977 Stiff Records compilation — Lowe made records and served as a producer for the punk label, which put out early albums by Elvis Costello and The Damned.
Nick Lowe, whose new album The Old Magic drops September 13, will open for Wilco on their upcoming North American tour.
You can watch Jeff Tweedy perform a new song from The Whole Love solo acoustic here.
