Guns N’ Roses fans were treated to a surprise as a new song from the band was leaked on digital jukeboxes in bars around the country. The track is titled “Perhaps” and was originally slated to receive a wide release on Friday (August 11), but was ultimately not shared by the band.

The Jukeboxes went ahead and added the song into their rotation despite the band’s decision to postpone the record.
One GN’R fan on Twitter wrote, “In case you missed it, ‘Perhaps’ leaked last night via a jukebox at a bar. Pick a local bar with TouchTunes and you, too, can go listen. A release on streaming platforms surely is imminent but we will never forget the night of August 12th.”

“Perhaps” has been in the GN’R world for quite some time now. It was originally created during the sessions for their 2008 album, Chinese Democracy. The release of “Perhaps” marks the band’s first bout of new music since 2021.
The track’s unexpected release comes on the heels of the “super deluxe” box set of Use Your Illusion I + II. The band updated the 1991 albums with new mixes alongside a horde of previously unreleased tracks.
After sharing those deluxe editions, Slash teased “epic” new music from the group, which likely includes “Perhaps.”
“We’re just gonna put out like one or two songs, and another one or two songs,” Slash said at the time. “And I think that’s gonna be pretty much all of ’em. I’m not sure exactly how many we did in total… There’s a couple of epic ones coming out, so I’m excited about that.
“I want to go in and cut a whole brand new record at some point, probably sooner than later,” he continued. “But other than that, we have stuff that we’ve still got to come out. We have one more tour left to do next summer, and then that’ll free us up to be able to go in and work on a new record.”
