This August, musician, music journalist, American Songwriter scribe and all-around great guy Andrew Leahey was diagnosed with a life-altering brain tumor. A small acoustic neuroma was found on his hearing nerve, threatening him with a host of problems including deafness, facial paralysis, permanent balance issues and potential death. Andrew underwent a 12-hour brain surgery on Thursday, November 7th, at the Vanderbilt Hospital, with a mountain of recovery time to follow. We’re thrilled to report that the surgery was a success.

On December 12, Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom will host a benefit for Leahey, featuring some of his favorite artists. We can’t announce the actual headliner yet – we will shortly –  but they’re a pretty big deal these days.

This benefit is to help assist with the very high financial cost that a complicated surgery like this brings. In addition to the door cost, we will be holding a silent auction and selling limited edition merch, with the goal of donating any overages to charitable organizations that help musicians in similar crises.

You can pre-order tickets here.
