On Monday, MySpace Music announced an unprecedented twist to their Secret Show series. On July 7, pop-punk band All Time Low was to play three shows in three time zones in just 24 hours.
Band member Alex Gaskarth told MySpace, “This is going to be a crazy adventure! We have wanted to do a MySpace Secret Show for a long time, and to be able to do the first ever one to span three times zones in just 24 hours is incredible.”
The concerts were exclusively for MySpace users who were notified through the Secret Show MySpace profile on Monday.
The first performance occurred early Tuesday morning at 12:01 a.m. in Washington, D.C. at Jammin’ Java. From there, the band traveled to Chicago, Illinois to play a noon show at Mojo’s Rock House. The 24-hour tour culminated at the Chain Reaction Club in Anaheim, CA at 9:30 tonight.
To allow fans to be engaged online all day the band teamed up with Ford Fiesta and Hopeless Records (www.fiestamovement.com). The website was quickly flooded with Tweets, photos, videos, and comments from fans who had already seen All Time Low and ones who were traveling to the shows and waiting in line outside venues.
For fans who could not make it to one of the shows: do not worry. The cross-country trip and the shows were filmed and will be aired on MySpace Music Feed on July 20th.
