MusiCares Nashville Benefit Will Feature Nirvana’s Bleach

It’s the nature of the business, but many working musicians live month-to-month and simply can’t afford to survive a crisis. That’s where MusiCares steps in. The sister organization of the Recording Academy provides financial, medical, and personal assistance to music people in times of need.

Take it from me. Three years ago when the house I was living in with my two bandmates burned to the ground, MusicCares stepped in and paid some temporary living expenses for a short time while we regrouped. Despite a few miserable months, we were able to get back on our feet and move forward. Mine is just one of countless similar stories of MusiCares’ impact.

Nashvillians seeking ’90s grunge nostalgia can get their fix while supporting the organization this Friday at Mercy Lounge. An “all star” group of local musicians calling themselves The Remasters are coming together to perform the Nirvana’s classic debut album Bleach from start to finish. One-hundred percent of ticket sales go to MusiCares.
