Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Mick Karn first came to fame in 1974 for his distinctive bass guitar work in the art rock band Japan.
During the summer of 2010, Karn was diagnosed with a latter stage of cancer, requiring treatment and funds in support of his health and family. In efforts to raise money, the progressive music community that Karn’s music helped nurture has held a variety of events (including tribute concerts and auctions). …a show of love, respect & grace – a tribute to Mick Karn, is said to be the most touching initiative yet.
The tribute album will feature sixteen tracks from an assortment of legendary artists all determined to repay Karn for what he once gave them, a sense of hope and encouragement.
