These days, Michael Bublé is busy learning the ropes as a first-time coach on The Voice. However, before he was guiding the next generation of musical talent, he was busy ascending to the throne of modern Christmas music. His 2011 album Christmas, spent five weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has since become a Yuletide staple. Although the “Feeling Good” crooner typically shies away from collaborating with other artists during the holidays, he has already proven a willingness to break that rule with Cher. Now, he’s found another exception to that rule: country music sensation Carly Pearce.

“Fate Had a Hand” in Carly Pearce Christmas Collab
After previously teasing “a Christmas song for people that might not love Christmas,” Michael Bublé and Carly Pearce have announced “Maybe This Christmas,” which is currently available for pre-save.
“Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them,” wrote the five-time Grammy Award winner in a Wednesday (Nov. 13) Instagram post. “This collab fell into place so seamlessly it feels like fate had a hand in it. We’re so proud of this song! We hope you love it as much as we do.”
In another video posted to Instagram Nov. 8, Bublé joked, “Have you ever written a song and cried like 12 times?”
The “Home” singer explained that he penned the unreleased ballad for those who maybe aren’t feeling so merry and bright this holiday season. “I wanted to write something to give them hope,” he said.
Certainly, the holiday season can bring up a miasma of emotions—not all of them welcome. Buble tapped into all of them, as he sang, I’ve been running all my life / I’ve been trying to get it right / Sentimentally, a thing I do well.

“Your voice is like butter and I love the message of this!” commented one Instagram user.
Michael Bublé Has Always Loved Christmas
In addition to holiday albums, Michael Bublé has also headlined several live holiday specials with NBC. The velvety-voiced crooner has previously spoken of his lifelong love affair with Christmas music.
“It’s funny, but when I was 6 or 7 years old, Christmas would come around and I loved it so much, but not because of the presents but for things like Bing Crosby’s White Christmas album,” Bublé told NST in 2009. “I just thought it was the coolest stuff in the world.”
