When Metro Boomin first released his sophomore solo studio album HEROES & VILLAINS in December, the album’s tenth track “Creepin’” turned the heads of hip-hop fans old and new. Now three months later, Metro has revisited the cut to give it even more of a sentimental spin.

Last Friday (March 17), Metro Boomin released the “Creepin’” remix with The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Mario Winans, and newly-added Diddy. For those unfamiliar, the song samples Winans’ 2003 hit “I Don’t Wanna Know,” which includes a guest verse from Diddy.
When released, the original version of “Creepin’” from December reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and still sits inside the top 10. With hypnotic Weeknd vocals and a laid-back verse from 21 Savage, the song quickly became one of Metro Boomin’s most beloved in his catalog as an artist.
For the new rendition of the track, Diddy’s verse finds its way on the track following The Weeknd’s second verse from the original song. Deviating completely from his 2003 “I Don’t Wanna Know” verse, Diddy raps about falling in love and making money together. Instead of lyrics about distrust that he provided in the Winans song, the 53-year-old renowned mogul makes his priorities clear.
I got visions that cost millions and make billions
Baby girl, we can make love and make trillions, damn
Baby, you my curse and my crush
I walk to the ends of the earth for your touch
Ride for you, cry for you, die for you
Never gon’ say “Goodbye” to you
Accompanying the remix’s release, the music video for “Creepin’” arrived simultaneously on Friday. Featuring appearances from Winans and Diddy riding in a car with The Weeknd, the visuals see actress Coco Jones surveil and plot against all the men present, exemplifying the theme of the song.
The entire execution of “Creepin’” and its new remix provides a masterful full-circle moment for both hip-hop and R&B, celebrating its old and new faces. Check out the video for the “Creepin’” remix below.
