The new compilation is an expanded version of ABBA’s 1982 best-of compendium, The Singles – The First Ten Years. Of course, the album features all of the group’s biggest hits and best-known tunes. They include “Waterloo,” “I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do,” “SOS,” “Mamma Mia,” “Fernando,” “Dancing Queen,” “Knowing Me, Knowing You,” “The Name of the Game,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “Chiquitita,” “Does Your Mother Know,” and “The Winner Takes It All.”
The Singles – The First Fifty Years also includes four tracks that weren’t released as A-sides by the Polar Music label, although they were issued as singles in some countries. These songs are “Hasta Mañana,” “Angeleyes,” “Lay All Your Love on Me” and “When All Is Said And Done.” The compilation will come packaged with an illustrated booklet featuring liner notes by Carl Magnus Palm, a Swedish author who has penned a number of books focusing on the band.
