The singer revealed the tour in a video, featuring Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob The Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter, Eric Andre and comedian Amy Schumer all playing a game a truth or dare with Madonna before daring her to go on tour to perform her hits.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of her eponymous debut album, Madonna will perform music from her entire catalog of 14 albums, from Madonna in 1983 through her most recent release, Madame X, in 2019 on the tour, in addition to pulling from her 38 top 10 hits and 12 No. 1s. The world tour will include stadium and arena dates along with a multi-night run at the O2 Arena in London.
“I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” said Madonna in a statement.
Madonna released a career-spanning compilation, Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones, in 2022, a collection of her 50 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Dance chart, featuring remixes of her most popular hits, along with 20 rarities.
“It’s going to be the biggest tour she’s ever done,” a source told Billboard. Madonna last toured on her Madame X Tour in 2019 and early 2020.
In 2021, the 64-year-old pop icon moved her entire catalog of music to Warner Music Group, in a deal that will include multi-year catalog reissues. The deal brings Madonna’s 40-year catalog of music, including albums Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, and Ray of Light, and her three most recent studio albums, MDNA, Rebel Heart, and Madame X, in addition to all of her singles, soundtrack recordings, live albums, and compilations to Warner.
“Since the very beginning, Warner Music Group has helped bring my music and vision to all my fans around the world with the utmost care and consideration,” said Madonna in a statement at the time. “They have been amazing partners, and I am delighted to be embarking on this next chapter with them to celebrate my catalog from the last 40 years.”
