Singer-songwriter Andrew “Koji” Shiraki is back again with Fury, a new EP that harkens back to the good ol’ days of Superchunk, Guided By Voices and Built to Spill. Take a listen to “Everyday,” a heavy, driving track that explores the intense emotions surrounding a new relationship.

“‘Everyday’ is about about the bittersweet, agonizing side of new love and longing,” says Koji. “It went from a song written on my dad’s old classical guitar to the driving, fuzzed out, Superchunk-y rock arrangement seconds after I got in a room to jam with my guitarist, Chris Sigda, and drummer, Willie Rose. Chris and Willie played on my first EP Some Small Way, which we recorded in 2009, and it was amazing to see that the chemistry was still there after so many years.”

Fury drops June 16 via No Sleep Records.
