Since dropping her Why You Runnin’ EP last November and getting picked up by Mississippi taste-makers Fat Possum, Lissie has been an overnight success. She’s got festival dates this summer (Glastonbury, iTunes and Bestival in the UK; Lilith Fair and ACL Fest in the States) and a new record, Catching A Tiger, in August. The album, produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon) and Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses), is a country-tinged affair with Lissie’s soulful, untethered voice at the center.

At this year’s South By Southwest in March, Lissie played an American Songwriter day party, co-hosted by XO Publicity and Future Sounds. Lissie sat down with Plays Well With Others, an organization which connects new bands and the social causes that are important to them. Watch the videos from the event below.
