When Payne passed away, social media filled with theories surrounding the singer’s death. Wanting to focus on his legacy more, Sam Pounds decided to release the song they worked on at the time. The musician said he hoped the song would “eclipse the negative echoes” around his friend’s death. But now, it appears Pounds decided to change his mind.

Sharing the reason behind his decision not to release the song, Pounds wrote on Twitter, “Today I’m deciding to hold Do No Wrong and leave those liberties up to all family members. I want all proceeds to go to a charity of their choosing (or however they desire). Even though we all love the song it’s not the time yet. We are all still mourning the passing of Liam and I want the family to mourn in peace and in prayer. We will all wait.”
