The last couple of years have been a struggle for Celine Dion. In December 2022, the iconic songstress revealed that she had been diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disorder Stiff Person Syndrome. However, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer is determined to manage her symptoms, vowing, “I will sing again.” And if recent reports are true, Dion will make good on that promise during Friday’s (July 26) 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony in Paris. Celine Dion Appears Set To Make Her Comeback at the Olympics Opening Ceremony

In light of her ongoing health struggles, Celine Dion cancelled all tour dates for 2023 and 2024. However, it looks like the multi GRAMMY-winning artist will mark her comeback on the grandest of stages, according to TMZ. The outlet reported that Dion will receive a $2 million payout for just one song. Additionally, organizers are reportedly covering the pop star’s travel bill and all other expenses.

Celine Dion fueled the Olympics opening ceremony rumors with an Instagram post Wednesday (July 2024.) The “Because You Loved Me” singer shared a photo of herself standing in front of the storied Louvre.

“Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world,” Dion wrote.  “I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back!”

Newsweek reported that the “Poker Face” singer was sighted in Paris Tuesday (July 23.) Additionally, fans posted footage to social media that reportedly shows the 13-time GRAMMY winner rehearsing for her Olympics opening ceremony set by night.

We already know that the West Coast legend will carry the torch through the streets of Saint-Denis. If he’s in Paris anyway, he may as well perform during the Olympics opening ceremony—right?
