Kris Kristofferson’s Posthumous Message to His Family, Willie Nelson, and Margo Price on Thanksgiving

Since his passing in September, Kris Kristofferson’s tragic demise has been felt and thought of immensely by his family, friends, and fans. The man’s mark on music was insurmountable and has only ever been achieved by a lucky few. However, more importantly, the mark he left on his family was much greater. And that came fully to fruition at the Kristoffersons’ Thanksgiving festivities this year in Hawaii.

Like most Americans this Thanksgiving, they all sat down to enjoy food, family, friends, and fruitful conversation. Although, for the Kristofferson family, this year’s Thanksgiving seemingly entailed a bit more hardship given the passing of their late family member. But, the late Kristofferson made his presence known through a subliminally divine sign over the Hawaiian sky.

Kris Kristofferson and His Posthumous Message

In addition to Kristofferson’s family and Willie Nelson being in attendance, Margo Price also joined the family at their Thanksgiving festivities. Price took to Instagram to share and celebrate the lovely dinner and divine experience the holiday entailed.

She wrote in the post, “Lisa cooked a beautiful meal on Thanksgiving and I made a pecan pie. We rode ATVs, fed pigs and hit Hamoa Beach” and “Thanksgiving marked two months since Kris passed but his presence looms all around their beautiful home. To say we are lucky is an understatement.” The latter of Price’s statement comes as a result of the sentimental gift Kris Kristofferson gave them in the form of the rainbow.

In her post, Price shared a video of a towering rainbow and then simply followed it up by writing, “To say we are lucky is an understatement. 🌈🌺.” To many, the rainbow might seem arbitrary, but to the Kristofferson family, it meant the world. Matter of fact, when Kristofferson passed, his family acknowledged the importance of rainbows. Saying in a statement to People, “When you see a rainbow, know he’s smiling down at us all.”

If anyone has ever lost a loved one, they know how important it is to see a sign such as this one. So, to Kristofferson’s family and friends, this rainbow meant the world to them on their first Thanksgiving without their beloved family member and friend.
