Keith Urban, Kesha, and The Killers Take the Stage for CNN’s ‘The Fourth in America’ Celebration

CNN put on it’s The Fourth in America celebration program yesterday, July 4th, which included spectacular fireworks coast-to-coast and performances by a star-studded lineup of artists. Kesha, The Killers, and Keith Urban were just a few of the performers who took the stage to perform old favorites and new hits.

Keith Urban played his new single, “Straight Line” during his set. Taking the stage in a casual Buc-ee’s t-shirt, Urban encouraged the crowd and showcased his guitar prowess. The audience lit up for him, singing along and jumping up and down. At the same time, the CNN broadcast showed fireworks going off in Philly, adding to the celebratory atmosphere that Urban often curates with his music.

Kesha also took the stage earlier in the day and performed her mega-hit “Tik Tok.” In a red latex outfit she did a little dance on the stage while using a bit of autotune on her vocals to get the authentic “Tik Tok” sound. In other Kesha news, she recently released a new single, “Joyride,” her first since gaining freedom from Kemosabe Records and Dr. Luke in December. It’s reminiscent of her 2010s sound but with lyrics alluding to her new-found freedom to do what she wants.

CNN Treats Fans to Great Artists During The Fourth in America Program

Additionally, The Killers took the stage later and charmed the crowds with their forever hit “Mr. Brightside.” The audience pressed close to the stage, singing along enthusiastically. During the broadcast, CNN paired The Killers with amazing fireworks in Nashville.

Other artists who took the stage during the program were Bebe Rexha, The Kid Laroi, the Goo Goo Dolls, Kane Brown, T-Pain, Bleachers, Ashanti, REO Speedwagon, Chris Young, Yellowcard, Ben Platt, Boys Like Girls, and En Vogue. Additionally, there was also a performance by The United States Air Force Band.

The program also showcased fireworks not only in Washington DC, but in cities all over the U.S. The broadcast included fireworks displays from Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Las Vegas, Nashville, Niagara Falls, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, St. Louis, San Diego, and Seward, Alaska.
