After much tweeting and even more speculation, it appears that Kanye West has finally found the right title and tracklist for his highly anticipated seventh album. On Wednesday night, the Chicago rapper tweeted the final tracklist for his record, which he is now calling The Life of Pablo.
West will premiere the album in its entirety tonight at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The event can be streamed live via Tidal.
West’s latest project has been clouded in ambiguity for almost a year now. In March 2015, West announced the album’s title as So Help Me God, before switching it to SWISH, Waves (most recently), and finally The Life of Pablo. Who Pablo is remains yet another question for the album, although Consequence of Sound theorizes it might refer to Pablo Picasso due to West’s comparing himself to the famous artist in a lecture at Oxford University.
Many of the singles West has pre-released over the last few months made the cut for the album, including “Fade,” “Real Friends” and his collaboration with Sia and Vic Mensa, “Wolves” (which serves as the album’s closer). However, notably absent from the track list is “No More Parties in L.A.,” West’s latest pre-released track that features L.A. hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar.
