Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon finalized his plans to launch a new music festival in 2015, securing the last round of permit approvals earlier this week. The Eaux Claire Music and Arts Festival will take place at Foster Farm in Vernon’s hometown of Eau Claire, WI, the weekend of July 17 and 18.

In true Vernon fashion, the festival will be held in a wooded area, where attendees are permitted to camp if they choose. Details are limited, but the festival is set to have three performance areas, with an expected daily capacity of 25,000 attendees.

Vernon is working with Crash Line Productions, the team responsible for the bi-annual Boston Calling Music Festival. Foster Farm, the festival’s proposed venue, is also used for Country Jam, an annual country music festival that will host Blake Shelton and Eric Church in 2015. Vernon will head up Eaux Claire’s booking and curation, much like The National’s Aaron Dessner does for Boston Calling.

No ticketing information is available at this time.
