Although finding fame on the Disney Channel, the Jonas Brothers sought to expand their stardom as they stepped into the music industry. Over the next several years, they released numerous albums with their last, The Album, hitting shelves in 2023. Add that to hit songs like “Leave Before You Love Me”, “Sucker”, and “Waffle House”, and it makes sense how the group went on to snag several awards. But while spending more than enough time on stage, the Jonas Brothers recently took over the Calgary Stampede for a special performance that had the group channeling Garth Brooks.

Promoted as the world’s largest outdoor rodeo, the Calgary Stampede is a big deal for those looking to celebrate their inner cowboy. The event features some of the best rodeo athletes in the world. And outside of the competition, Calgary Stampede welcomed stars like Miranda Lambert, Nickelback, Ashley McBryde, and Megan Moroney to perform. And not leaving out the Jonas Brothers, the band also took the stage to perform “Friends in Low Places.” The only problem, they didn’t know all the words.
Having spent years on the stage, the Jonas Brothers are considered true professionals, but no matter what – accidents happen. And that appeared to be the problem when Joe Jonas tried to produce his best country accent. While finding the twang, he stumbled when it came to the lyrics.
Fans Show Love to the Jonas Brothers
With the video making its rounds on the internet, fans weighed in about the performance with some writing, “He messed up the words so badly but he is adorable.” Another person added, “This is his karaoke bar song for sure which is why the words don’t matter.” And one comment included, “I loved when they sang this at the Houston rodeo!!! Best surprise! I love Joe Jonas and laughed when he messed up the line.”
Of course, inevitable performance mishaps come with the gig and the Jonas Brothers are no different. Back at the 2016 ACM Awards, Nick Jonas took the stage with Kelsea Ballerini for “Peter Pan.” With fans excited to see the performance, Nick stumbled through the guitar solo, leaving many wondering what happened.
