Jimmie Allen Reveals Comedy Tour Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Months after being accused of sexual harassment and abuse, Jimmie Allen has already teased new music and a forthcoming comedy show. “I Said What I Said, and I’m gonna say it again during my three-night comedy tour coming this October,” wrote Allen in the caption to for his comedy show, which will have dates revealed soon.

The news of Allen’s “I Said What I Said” comedy show comes more than two months after an unnamed woman, who worked at the country artist’s former management team, Wide Open Music, alleged that he had “harassed” and “sexually abused her” over an 18-month period between 2020 through 2022. She also said that she was fired from her position following her complaint.

Another anonymous woman alleged that the 38-year-old country artist recorded them having sex without her consent and that he sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel room. Allen, who is expecting a third child with his wife, has filed counter-suits against both women.

“As the son and brother of rape victims, and the father of daughters, these false claims are extremely hurtful to me and everyone around me,” said Allen in a recent statement. “These false allegations have caused me to lose a vast number of business and endorsement opportunities that I worked extremely hard for. These false allegations have also not only harmed me, but have caused severe financial damage to my band, my team, and their families.” 

In addition to the comedy show, Allen has also started to tease new music since April. He has shared snippets of songs with possible song titles, including “God Bless This Dirt,” “Cuz You’re Lonely,” “More Like Me.” He has also teased “Small Town Anthem,” “Senorita,” “Drunk Feelings” and “Shaking in My Boots.”

In April, Allen also premiered his video for “Be Alright,” off his third album Tulip Drive, on The Kelly Clarkson Show and had recent appearances on The Late Show with Stephen ColbertGood Morning America, and more.

Earlier in 2023, Allen hit No. 1 with his Tulip Drive single “Down Home.” He is also set to play the Bottle & Cork event in Dewey Beach, Delaware, on September 29.
