Country singer Jimmie Allen has been teasing several new songs via his Instagram account over the past few weeks, despite continuing to be embroiled in sexual assault allegations.

Allen, a rising country star earning accolades few Black artists have achieved in the genre, teased the new song, “Live On Another Day,” in April. But it was about a month later in May when his former manager accused him of sexual and verbal abuse.

Since then, another anonymous woman has come out against the 38-year-old Allen, alleging he recorded them having sex without her consent and that he sexually assaulted her in a Las Vegas hotel room. Allen has since filed counter-suits against both women. And People reports that he and his pregnant wife are working to resolve their issues in the wake of the turmoil.
Allen, though, is not putting his music career on hold. He is set to play the Bottle & Cork event in Dewey Beach, Delaware, on September 29. He also has been teasing new songs and studio sessions on his Instagram account, which boasts nearly half-a-million followers.
It is not completely clear what the songwriter and performer has in mind, but, given this post, he may have a new album in the works, his first since 2022. Regardless of the album title or album art, Allen has clearly been dropping musical breadcrumbs.
Other song snippets and possible song titles include “God Bless This Dirt,” “Cuz You’re Lonely,” “More Like Me.” He has also teased “Small Town Anthem,” “Senorita,” “Drunk Feelings” and “Shaking in My Boots.”
The songs are posted with little comment from Allen, other than tagging a few musicians and repeating their titles at times.
Whether there is a new album or if these songs are individual singles or releases or drafts or demos, remains unclear. But one thing is for certain, Allen is not taking these allegations lightly and is not putting his head in the sand, legally or creatively.
