Jane’s Addiction released two new studio tracks today which you can download for free at Ninja2009.com, the website for the reunited band’s upcoming tour with Nine Inch Nails. Both songs, “Whores” and “Chip Away,” were originally released as live versions on their debut album, Jane’s Addiction, in 1987.

“We had the idea to re-record two tunes, just because they’d never been done officially in the studio,” lead singer Perry Farrell told Billboard.com. Alan Moulder and Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor produced the studio recordings.

Farrell also downplayed the idea of a new album: “For me, the idea is to introduce one or two songs into this touring cycle along with the ones everybody loves and knows.”

Jane’s Addiction and Nine Inch Nails will being touring together on May 8 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
