Forty years ago, James Taylor and Carole King joined fources for the Troubadour Tour. On May 7, the celebrated singer-songwriters will reunite for the Troubadour Reunion tour, which will span 22 dates over two months. Tickets for the tour will go on sale January 23. Expect to hear hits and duets; during a 2007 joint show at Hollywood’s Troubadour club, the duo traded songs all night.
“I think we’ll do two sets, both of us will be on stage the whole time, either singing backup for each or playing behind the other,” said Taylor in a recent interview. “We’ll sort of skip back and forth, do a song of hers, a song of mine, but we’ll stay on the stage.”
