James Stroud Announces New Label
James Stroud, the award-winning Nashville producer, has accomplished a lot during his career. After forming The Writers Group, a thriving Nashville publishing company, he helped Giant Records and DreamWorks Nashville come to fruition and was named Billboard’s “Top Country Producer” two years in a row. His producing credits include Alabama, Tim McGraw, Clint Black, Willie Nelson, Melissa Etheridge and The Neveille Brothers, to name a few. To date, Stroud has produced albums that have collectively sold over 52 million copies, as well as more than 90 No. 1 records.
With the launch of Stroudavarious Records, Stroud’s new independent record label, the producer has added another notch on his list of accomplishments. The label will be distributed by RED a division of Sony BMG Entertainment, an industry leader in independent distribution. “Even though the business model of the music industry changes, the one constant has been the importance of the artists and their songs,” said Stroud. “The vision of Stroudavarious Records will be for the creativity to take precedent and allow the music to take care of the business.” The artist roster and staff members for Stroudavarious Records will be announced in coming weeks.
