Rock Me Amadeus!
We’re always interested in what Jack White is up to. He graced our cover in 2009, and his Third Man Records label is only a couple of miles from our offices. But we’re scratching our heads at the latest news out of the Third Man camp: White will release a single by horror-rap icons Insane Clown Posse and JEFF The Brotherhood of a forgotten piece of Mozart music called “Leck Mich Im Arsch”. The Posse (who hail from Detroit, Jack White’s home town) bust rhymes over some JEFF the Brotherhood riffage, while adhering to Mozart’s original melody.
According to the press release, “Leck Mich Im Arsch” is German for “Lick Me In The Arse.” Alrighty then.
Then there’s the B-side, an Insane Clown Posse track called “Mountain Girl,” which concerns meth, moonshine, and a shotgun wedding.
You can purchase this rock monstrosity September 13, when Third Man will release a 7 inch single and an iTunes digital download.
Third Man has previously produced singles by Stephen Colbert and Conan O’Brien, in addition to albums by The Dead Weather and Wanda Jackson.
