Legendary classic rock band the Faces have done an about face in regards to their upcoming reunion, which had been hinted at by band members and the media in recent weeks. A spokesman for Faces frontman Rod Stewart denied the group had completed songs for a new album, and said plans for a reunion tour were not in the works.
Faces Guitarist Ron Wood had intimated that the band was working on new material for an album in an interview with Rolling Stone, and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea’s name was bandied about as a replacement for original bassist Ronnie Lane, who died in 1997.
Faces fans should not give up hope just yet; when it comes to unlikely rock reunions, we are truly living in an age of miracles.
Until then, we’ll always have YouTube.
