While there are several college football matchups scheduled for Saturday, come 11:30 p.m. ET/PT, NBC will air a new episode of SNL. That’s right, the cast is back and ready to go as actor Paul Mescal prepared to take the stage as tonight’s host. Having a list of credits that included his new film Gladiator II, Mescal looked to put down the sword and try his hand at comedy. With Gladiator II releasing before Thanksgiving, the film received rave reviews from fans. Although thrilled to have Mescal step foot in Studio 8H, SNL also welcomed none other than Shaboozey as the musical guest.

Shaboozey Ready To Entertain On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Having spent a decade exploring genres like hip-hop and country, Shaboozey found success with songs like “Good News” and “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” He even released a song that centered around the NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon. Already winning several awards including New Artist Song of 2024 and New Artist of 2024, Shaboozey continued to expand his grasp on country music. But while gaining stardom, Shaboozey promised he was just a “regular guy.”

Speaking with CMT about his fame in country music, Shaboozey said, “It’s cool to see people just really, you know, really get excited when they see me and see what we’re doing. Because, to me, it’s just the same message and I’m a regular guy.”

With Shaboozey sharing some background of his upbringing, He added, “I grew up in a small town in Virginia, and I just didn’t really do the school thing and I was just like, ‘Man, I really enjoy this passion of mine and I’m [going to] keep pursuing until it gets me there.’ I hope that’s what people, along with all the excited eyes, they read the story and they know that that person’s just like me.”

Don’t miss Saturday Night Live, airing tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
