While the Olympic games kick off in just a few hours, rumors circulated about the opening ceremonies for the past few weeks. One of the biggest rumors to hit the internet was that Dion would take the stage for the first time since she received her diagnosis. And those rumors gained momentum when Variety reported the singer touched down in Paris on Monday. She is staying at the Royal Monceau Hotel. Although she could be there simply to enjoy the show and watch the games, the rumors go much deeper than just Dion as she stayed at the same hotel as Lady Gaga.
Which Song Is Celine Dion Going To Sing?
Having performed with some of the biggest names in the music industry, it appears that Gaga might be heading to the Olympic games as well. And while a performance from the star is sure to be stunning, some claim that Gaga will team up with Dion to perform the famous song “La Vie en Rose” by Edith Piaf.
Helping spread the idea that Dion and Gaga would take the stage together, French journalist Thierry Moreau shared on Twitter, “Evening news:@celinedion and @ladygaga rehearsed ‘La vie en rose’ by Edith Piaf as a duet. Celine Dion will be dressed by Dior with a pink and black feather cape…”
The questions surrounding Dion and her part in the opening ceremonies continue to circulate as the games are just a few hours from starting. Don’t miss the opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, scheduled to air on NBC starting at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT.
