The group will be hitting both areas in September of 2024 with the string of dates kicking off at Perth’s RAC Arena on September 1 with the next one at Adelaide Entertainment Center on September 4, as reported by NME.
Following those two dates, the group will hit Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on September 6 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on September 10 before concluding the Australian run at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on September 12. Killswitch Engage will serve as the opener for all the Australia and New Zealand shows. Iron Maiden will be running a special fan club pre-sale for its members taking place on Wednesday, October 18 with general sale occurring on Tuesday, October 24 here.
The band was originally scheduled to tour Australia in 2020 as part of their Legacy the Beast Tour, but that venture was eventually being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a quote obtained by NME, the band’s manager Rob Smallwood said, “We assured everyone at the time that we would come back to Australia. We always keep to our promises.”
“We’re very much looking forward to bringing this amazing new show to the Southern hemisphere and giving our loyal Australian fans the best Maiden show we can,” he continued. “You can be assured it’s worth the wait.”
Their newest tour is in support of the 2021 album Senjutsu.
Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson has also revealed his first new solo album in nearly two decades. The Mandrake Project, out in 2024, marks the frontman’s first solo material since Tyranny of Souls in 2005.
Dickinson, who will also embark on a nine-date tour in Mexico and Brazil in April 2024, is planning to add more dates for a tour around the new album. “We’re planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible,” Dickinson said on social media, “for as many people as we can.”
