“I’m Out”: Jelly Roll Sounds off on Toxicity He’s Endured on X, Response Goes as Predicted

In the age of toxic social media, it can be tempting to quit it all and go off the grid. However, that’s sometimes easier said than done. Take Jelly Roll, for example. He recently announced that he would be quitting Twitter, only to tweet again shortly later.

“This is for sure the most toxic negative app to exist ever — PERIOD. lol,” Jelly Roll wrote. “This place is different man, I always heard it was the Wild West on here but man it’s insane . It’s a safe place for everyone to say mean s–t to each other with no consequences. I’m out lol.”

True, Twitter’s evolution has been highly debated since it changed ownership, beginning with the name alteration and the content flow that has followed. We can’t fault Jelly Roll there. However, many people in the comments of his post did find fault. Whether that was misplaced fault, people just sharing opinions, or a genuine overreaction to someone criticizing Twitter, we’ll let you decide.

Many people in the comments cited “free speech,” as if toxic behavior and blatant hate speech can simply be explained away by the First Amendment. “It’s free speech my guy. The good the bad and the ugly. I would rather have it this way,” one person noted.

Another commented, “Are you bothered by free speech?” Considering this account is called Clown World, we recommend a grain or two of salt. Clearly, social media can be a minefield. Stay safe out there, Jelly Roll.

Jelly Roll Looks to Expose “Slimy” Music Industry

Previously, Jelly Roll took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the music industry. First he referenced rapper Russ, who recently took on the music industry as well, particularly airing his grievances with music journalism.

“Learned a lot about how slimy the music business is this week, don’t worry yall know I’m going to expose it soon,” Jelly wrote. “This whole thing is smoke and mirrors yall. All that s—t Russ be talking about is REAL!”

The post brought in more than 8 million views, but some people didn’t quite get what Jelly Roll was talking about. He attempted to clarify that he wasn’t referencing any conspiracies or “selling souls.”

“Man yall made a mountain out of a molehill with this one,” he wrote. “All these weirdly over dramatic comments about selling souls and satanic weird s— is just weird . lol. I’ll be talking about all this on my wife’s podcast soon.”

With an appearance on his wife’s podcast, maybe this whole social media thing will be cleared up for fans. Right now, it’s looking like a lot of confusion and a lot of vague accusations.
