Having won awards from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music, the CMT Awards, and the Grammys, Carly Pearce spent more than enough years trying to break into the genre. While each singer finds their own way into the music industry, Pearce started when she was just a teenager. It wasn’t until she moved to Nashville that her stardom started to grow. And with the star releasing four studio albums, it seems that the singer is dealing with more than her newest release, Hummingbird. With the Summer heat taking over the country, Pearce showed just how brutal the sun can be while powering through her Carowinds Music Festival performance.

Although standing on stage in front of thousands of screaming fans can be surreal, it comes with a great deal of hurdles. For starters, performers stand under glowing lights that continuously put off heat. They spend hours singing and dancing around the stage. Add that with temperatures soaring to the high 90s and it can be tough. Not just speaking about the heat, Pearce decided to show what she looked like after an entire concert.
Displaying her outfit covered in sweat, Pearce said, “I don’t know what just happened, but it was not good. And I had to show this to you for the whole show. And then I just realized that you saw this….” The country singer added, “I feel exposed…I feel gross. I’m going to go think about this and never wear this outfit again because it’s ruined.”
For some laughs, here’s a TikTok Pearce posted in the same outfit before the summer heat got to her.
Carly Pearce Opens Up About Health Concerns
Although a little embarrassed about the sweat, fans filled the comment section with support. “I’m pretty sure I also looked like this during the same show if that makes you feel better.” Another person added, “I love how real you are. You’re killing it out there and you should come play a show in Southern Oregon.” ‘
Outside of fighting the heart, Pearce recently announced she suffered from pericarditis. Discussing her ongoing struggles, she promised, “I’ve been working with doctors and talking to my cardiologist. I still want to be out on the road, it’s really important to me but we have all decided that it is in my best interest as I’m healing to alter my shows a little bit.”
While staying healthy, Pearce used the moment as a call to action. “I just want to use my platform to tell you to take care of your body and listen to it and just know that if it’s trying to tell you something it’s gonna tell you.”
