The Irish-born rock band U2 is one of the most celebrated groups in music history. A lot of that has to do with their energetic, lengthy, and inspirational live performances. Fronted by lead singer Bono and supported by inventive lead guitar player the Edge, the band is legendary.

1. From Dublin (2017)

This 2017 show, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the band’s iconic album, The Joshua Tree, opens with a band. U2 begins the set with hits like “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “New Year’s Day,” “Pride (In the Name of Love),” “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “With or Without You” all in the first seven songs. For a U2 fan, this is truly heaven. Not only that but the show itself is well over two hours.

2. From Sydney (1993)

This 1993 show from Sydney, Australia, showcases the band when they were a bit younger and at the proverbial top of the music world. In the opening handful of songs are “Mysterious Ways” and “One.” The show ends some two hours later on an emotional note with songs like “With or Without You,” “Love is Blindness” and a cover of the Elvis song “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

3. At the Las Vegas Sphere (2023)

This 2023 show comes from the famous Las Vegas Sphere, which U2 helped to christen just this year. The newest cutting-edge technology in live performance—of course, it’s in Vegas—and U2 made themselves known with their recent residency. Songs in this elaborate set include “One” and “Where the Streets Have No Name.”
