The event is put on by Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp based in L.A. and sponsored by Billboard. The camp was founded in 1997 as a way to bring everyday musicians together with rock stars to share experiences and insight. There are masterclasses with the stars, as well as jams, rehearsals, and concerts. Slash, Steven Tyler, Chad Smith, Gene Simmons, and many more rock stars have taken part in the program over the years.
The Women’s Rock Camp is open to female musicians only. For each band, there is one counselor who shares their knowledge. At the end of the four days, those involved will play a live concert at the Viper Room on the Sunset Strip.
Additional counselors include Roxy Pertrucci, Julia Lage, and Britt Lightning of Vixen, Eva Gardner who works with P!nk, Jennie Vee of Eagles of Death Metal, and Jennifer Oberle who works with Sarah McLachlan, with more to be announced.

Nancy Wilson Looks Foward to Empowering Female Musicians At Rock Camp in Los Angeles
The Women’s Rock Camp is open to female instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages and skill levels. Musicians initially chat with Britt Lightning about their skills and musical preferences. Lightning then sorts them into bands. The bands will rehearse together with their counselors, attend masterclasses, jam with other counselors, participate in Q&A sessions, perform live on the Sunset Strip, and jam with the special guest stars as well.
Prices start at $2,499 and go up to $4,999 depending on the package chosen. Each package requires a deposit of $599, according to the website. There is a special package for musicians ages 11 to 16, a road crew package, and one for complete beginners.
“Rock Fantasy Camp for women is a meaningful gathering of women together. As a military brat I never felt constrained by my gender,” Nancy Wilson told Billboard. “Encouraging women to wield their power outside confining gender expectations is always a happy task for me.”
