It’s been a busy last few weeks in Bob Dylan news, as Columbia continues to release outtakes from the 1965-1966 sessions packaged into The Cutting Edge 1965–1966:The Bootleg Series Vol. 12, which will be released on Friday.

The latest released outtakes come in the form of alternate takes of Blonde on Blonde‘s “Just Like a Woman” and Highway 61 Revisited‘s “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry.”

“Just Like Woman – Take 1,” which premiered on Vulture, is one of three takes of the classic song available on the 18-disc box set, which encompasses every song recorded in the period. The third take of “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry,” which premiered on Esquire, is taken from the very first session for Highway 61 Revisited, and features guitarists Mike Bloomfield and Al Gargoni, pianist Frank Owens, bassist Joseph Macho and drummer Bobby Gregg backing Dylan.

Hear “Just Like a Woman – Take 1” below and head over to Esquire to hear “It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry – Take 3.”
