Green Day paid tribute to Amy Winehouse August 11 at an unannounced gig at Tiki Bar 1700 Placentia in Costa Mesa, California. Among the 15 new songs debuted that night was “Amy,” a gripping tune featuring Billy Joe Armstrong on acoustic guitar, a la “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).”

“No one really knows about your soul/and I barely even know your name/burning rhythms and posting lies/for a bunch of fools drown in shame,” he sings about the late soul chanteuse. Complete lyrics can be found on the official Green Day website, along with a thank you note to fans. “We have been in jamming and writing new songs for the last few months,” the band wrote. “It felt great to play these new Green Day songs live and share our ‘work in progress.’”

A full set list is also available on the site, and though cameras, cell phones and recording devices were strictly prohibited at the gig, some sneaky fans managed to capture “Amy” and “Last Gang In Town.”
