Country singer-songwriter Hayes Carll will reportedly release his first album since 2011’s KMAG YOYO (and Other American Stories) on April 8, 2016.
As SavingCountryMusic.com pointed out, in response to a fan asking when he would be releasing a new album, Carl responded with the date.
“@Famous_Abell: @hayescarll Maybe we can hear a new Hayes album in 2016???” April 8th.

While we’re still awaiting confirmation from Carll’s camp, April 8 would fall in line with comments the 39-year-old artist made in an interview with Boston Globe, saying he was taking his time on a new release, but hoped to record what would be his fifth full-length this fall.
“My ‘direction’ has always kind of been self-evident to me in the past,” Carll said. “Now, I’ve hit a point where I want to take some time to figure it out — creatively, artistically, what I want my career and my days, to look like.”
KMAG YOYO was met with critical acclaim, including being voted the number one album of 2011 by the Americana Music Association. His most recent release came in the form of the Corb Lund collaboration “Bible on the Dash” in 2013.
