Today is the 77th birthday of Leonard Cohen. To celebrate, here’s a fairly upbeat reading of one of the most depressing songs in the world: “One Of Us Cannot Be Wrong,” from a 1968 BBC performance. Leonard tells some jokes beforehand to really set the audience up for the moroseness that follows.
Cohen’s 17 studio and live albums will be collected into one massive box set, The Complete Albums Collection, and released on October 11 via Legacy Recordings.
