After The Allman Brothers Bands’ annual return to New York City’s Beacon Theatre for thirteen shows (March 10-26), and their stint at the Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, Florida alongside acts like Robert Plant and the Steve Miller Band (4/14-4/15), Gregg Allman will be heading out on his own for a series of tour dates.
Allman will be supporting the T Bone Burnett-produced album Low Country Blues, a collection of vintage blues songs which has earned critical raves, and is his first solo album in fourteen years.
The veteran rocker will make stops at the Beale Street Music Fest in Memphis on May 1, and the New Orleans Jazz Fest on May 6. Each April date will be co-headlined by The Steve Miller Band, whose new album, Let Your Hair Down, is due April 19. Allman will head to Europe this summer, and return to tour the States again in the fall.
