Usually, making it through an entire Grammy Awards telecast is like eating a giant bowl of ice cream…you wish you hadn’t.
But this year, we have reason to believe that the 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be less terrible than usual, especially after it was announced that Irish music juggernauts U2 and NPR tag team champions Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have been added to the list of performers.
The Awards show, which airs Sunday, February 8th , has already promised performances by Coldplay, Radiohead, Paul McCartney, and Dave Grohl. On the rap front, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Lil Wayne will hold things down. Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney will represent the country music world, leaving only Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers, and Justin Timberlake to spoil the soup. (There will also be a performance by Jennifer Hudson, in what will no doubt be an emotional moment.)
And the Grammy for least potentially annoying telecast goes to….the 51st Annual Grammys!
