Grace Potter,  a supercharged rock songstress best appreciated in the context of a huge freaking party, will join Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and many more great artists on the stages of Rock The Ocean’s inaugural Tortuga Music Festival next month, festival organizers announced today.

“We are so excited to be traveling from Vermont to Tortuga to join you guys for your beautiful music festival down there,” said Potter, whose latest album, The Lion The Beast The Beat, was released last summer.

The two-day music extravaganza takes place April 13-14 on the emerald shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida. The festival, which is being presented by Landshark Lager and will boast three main stages, was organized by HUKA Entertainment, the brains and brawn behind the hugely successful Hangout Music Festival, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

“We’re excited to add Grace Potter to the festival,” said AJ Niland of HUKA. “She’s a favorite of ours and a great addition to the bill.”

Along with previously announced headliners Kenny Chesney and Eric Church, Potter will be joining other acts like The Avett Brothers, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite, Gary Allan, Jake Owen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gary Clark Jr., Eli Young Band, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Kip Moore, Gloriana, G. Love & Special Sause, Donavon Frankenreiter, Mac Mcanally, The Wailers, Sister Hazel, Dangermuffin, Rayland Baxter and The Bright light Social Hour.

In addition, Rock The Ocean has teamed up with Tortuga to help promote awareness about marine conservation during the festival.  And thanks to the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, the weekend event will feature an actual “Conservation Village” on the grounds, where patrons can learn more about marine conservation and what they can do to make a difference.

Tickets for the festival are currently on sale at www.tortugamusicfestival.com.
