As the Foo Fighters make their way through the festival circuit this summer, the band took the stage at Tennessee’s world-renowned Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival over the weekend (June 18).

The performance was one of many the Foo Fighters have planned for the summer, following the death of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, in 2022. John Freese has taken over the drum kit as the band recently announced that the drummer would join them full-time for their summer tour.
The high-energy set saw hits like “All My Life,” “Learn to Fly,” “Best of You, and “The Pretender” before the band invited Paramore’s frontwoman, Hayley Williams to the stage for a raucous rendition of “My Hero.” “I’m gonna need a little help,” Grohl said introducing Williams.

Williams joined Dave Grohl on the 1998 hit “My Hero,” teaming up for the chorus and having the audience sing the words back to them as Williams worked the stage.
There goes my hero / Watch him as he goes / There goes my hero / He’s ordinary,” the duo sings before asking the audience to take the reins. “Sing it for Hayley, right now,” Grohl said. The audience obliged.
“Aww she’s harmonizing and shit,” Grohl said of Williams as they sang together. “Let’s hear it for Hayley, right now, she came out and sang that song.”
Paramore was on hand for the festival as they took the stage earlier in the day prior to the Foo Fighters. The performance marked Paramore’s return to the Bonnaroo stage five years after their debut in 2018. Later in the show, the Foos dedicated their performance of “Aurora” to their late drummer, closing an epic show.
Additionally, the Foo Fighters will embark on their Australian stadium tour on November 29 at Perth’s HBF Park, making stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane and are scheduled to pause for the holiday only to resume with three shows in New Zealand.
