Eventful, Popular Online Event Hub, Expands To Nashville

Eventful, a digital events service based out of San Diego, California, just got bigger.

If you’ve recently visited Eventful.com and typed in “Nashville” as your city, you probably saw a list of the various goings-on about town: Liz Phair at the Mercy later this month; Robert Plant at TPAC; Kid Rock and Jamey Johnson at Bridgestone; Lady A. at the Wildhorse.

But what you won’t initially see is Eventful’s recent investment in Nashville as a new hub for their popular digital service that connects consumers with events. Eventful has just announced a new Nashville office, to be headed by Ryan Bitzer as Director of Tour Marketing, who will focus on new Music City partnerships.

“The live music industry is currently at an inflection point and it’s critical that a company offering unique and impactful tour marketing solutions to artists is firmly integrated into the Nashville music community,” said Bitzer in a press release.

Eventful boasts an audience of 20 million fans who use the service to track tours, live music and other events like movies and sports. Eventful’s trademarked “Demand It!” service lets fans engage with artists and performers to let them know when are wanted in specific markets. Eventful also drives ticket sales for artists, usually redirecting fans to purchasing sites like StubHub and Gigaticket.

The company also sells promotional products to artists and promoters who want to gain exposure for their events. With so many managers, agents, and labels based in Nashville – sometimes even when the artists they represent are not – it  sense for leading technology company to  a network in Nashville.
