On Tuesday (Dec. 13), the country singer hosted the seventh annual Dustin Lynch and Friends Benefit Concert in his hometown of Tullahoma, Tennessee. Held at his alma mater, Tullahoma High School, Lynch performed his many No. 1 hits, including those inspired by his hometown: “Small Town Boy” and “Ridin’ Roads.” He was joined by songwriter friends Jordan Reynolds, Hunter Phelps and Jordan Minton to perform one of Lynch’s new songs they all co-wrote, “Wood on the Fire.”

The event raised more than $30,000 for local organizations. Shepherd’s House, a homeless shelter for women and children awaiting permanent housing, Tullahoma Sports Council, Inc., a nonprofit that works to improve the health and wellness of local residents, and Hands-On Science Center, a museum and education-based center, benefited from the event.

Lynch also participated in a toy drive, encouraging guests to bring a toy to donate to the Tullahoma Fire Department Toy Drive, with the singer himself contributing many items. In an Instagram video, Lynch heads to Phillips Toy Mart in Nashville to “buy a ton of toys.” “I’m already having fun, my heart’s racing right now,” he said in the clip. “I cannot wait to get my hands on some of these toys. I hope this puts a smile on your face because I know it’s going to mine.” All toys purchased were distributed between the Tullahoma Fire Department, Ryan Seacrest Foundation and 147 TEAM.

The hit singer also released the video for his new song, “Somethin’ That Makes You Smile,” featuring footage from the shopping spree and gifting the toys to children who were elated to receive them.

“Y’all have been so good to me this year, I wanted to give back and spread some joy this holiday season…,” he shared in the caption. “Hope y’all enjoy this as much as we enjoyed making it. Happy Holidays y’all!!”

Lynch will kick off January 2023 with a performance at Luke Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa event in Mexico, marking his seventh appearance.
