David Gilmour’s songwriting collaboration with his wife, novelist Polly Samson, dates back to Pink Floyd’s 1994 album, The Division Bell. On the record, Samson contributed lyrics to most of the songs. The creative partnership has continued to this day, with Samson writing lyrics for six of the nine tracks on her husband’s latest solo album, Luck and Strange.
